osuchi diary: April 7, 1998

Well, it's been exactly a month now since fleur and I hatched our Osu/Mesu pair, back near the beginning of March. For me, this is the longest time I have ever had the same pet -- mine usually last about two weeks, but no more. It's interesting, if odd, to have a pet that lasts this long, even through generations. I find myself becoming very lax in taking care of it. Fleur's getting interested in finfin, now that I managed to get her computer to actually run it. To put it plainly, I'm just not sure how much longer we're going to actually keep on with our pair.

I think I may like to do one more generation, to see what its like when they loop back to the first set of characters; after that, though, I'm going to take a break...and then...well, I do have this cute li'l brown morino tamagotch...

I'll update this entry later with a current picture of Honey, and some other stuff from the last week of caretaking.

About 30 minutes later: Well, I guess that decides that. Honey, sitting by my keyboard here at work, started beeping in long and strident tones; I looked over and a skull was flashing. *sigh* I hit A and the sound was cancelled. I saw him turn to the side and leave an egg, and then...

Well, here I'm kind of dissapointed. It's just a stark graveyard scene; one large tombstone in the foreground, some in the background. No ghost, no UFO, no "thanks", no flying angel; just a grave. Kind of a stark ending.

I am going to take a break now, not raise anything; I'm kind of tired and dissapointed as well, in an odd way.

Sooner or later, though, I'll start a new VP up and start a new diary as well. Who knows. Maybe fleur and I will open those Digimons one of these days...

Rest in peace, Honey...
