The Lolita Riddle, Part 2: Charles Dodgson

Title.

Alice, the girl the stories were supposedly based on. The video is based on Nabokov's writings. A lot of the video is about him.

The narrator says Dodgson was a very gifted amateur in photography. The above is a photo of the three Liddell sisters.

A photo of Alice dressed up as a beggar maid. The top of the garment shows both shoulders and her left nipple is visible. He adds that nude photos of children were very popular in Victorian society.

He didn't like taking photos of boys. Some rumors started about his nude photos and he destroyed most of them. Nabokov was against Dodgson's nude studies of children, implying that he was a pedophile. He also condemned Oscar Wilde.

To show how far some people go there are apparently some that interpret the Queen movement on this board in sexual terms. Another person said the Red Queen represented 'uncontrolled animal passion.' Nabakov said that Alice's coronation in Through the Looking Glass was an 'implied threat to children's safety.'
