Alice in the Land of Clovers

Alice's father had told her tales of Wonderland before he disappeared. Her sister, Mary, is married. The time is between WWI and II, it seems. Alice is very smart, strong and not interested in guys.

Like the Alice she follows a rabbit and ends up down the rabbit hole. There are many of the same characters but they seem to be human/animal hybrids of some sort. They are leaders in their sections of Wonderland.

The rabbit is a stuffed-up sort. He wants Alice to be his Queen. She finds the Clock Tower where he father had been working. The house she is living in seems to be alive.

The goal for her at the moment is to get somewhere by a certain time in order to return to her normal reality.

At the moment, at least, I don't really care that much for the story or for the individuals in it except for Alice. I don't trust any of them. I do find the house interesting, though.
