The Hunting of the Nark: Sherlock Holmes Through the Looking Glass

The book consists of poems and a story involving Sherlock Holmes and Watson. The poems are parodies of the poems actually used in Carroll's books and most of them are pretty good. The book also has some illustrations.

The main part of the book is the story in which Sherlock Holmes and Watson go to a guy's manor. The story involves a couple of women, a butler and a hidden treasure. The story itself has nothing to do with Alice in Wonderland but uses terms from both that book, its sequel and Dodgson himself. Examples include: a priest stuttering (Dodgson stuttered), a chess set, oysters, tarts, the Knave, a map, backwards writing and other things.

The butler goes missing, a woman flees the house and the treasure turns out to be something quite interesting. As far as the story itself goes I think it's pretty good. The parody poems also seem to be fairly well done.
