The Queen Who Came in from the Cold

The Queen has set up some new taxes and the peasants are revolting, so she goes undercover to find out what's upsetting them and realizes she should have given greater thought to what she was doing about the taxes.

She is angry about the anonymous letters being written to the papers. She is the typical politician, using sleazy techniques to spy on the other people. She finally manages a way to figure out vaguely, sort of admitting, at least to herself, that she was wrong in the first place about the excessive taxes she had started up.
