Alice in Wonderland

Hardback, 2013. The cover shows the type of artwork inside. The book has a number of differences from the actual story.

The language in one place at least is updated when Alice's sister says that Alice has been zoning out.

As Alice falls down the rabbit hole one part of the hole is lined by paintings of rabbits which actually makes sense.

Alice does not land on leaves. She lands on a comfortable pillow/rug. The room is lined by bookcases and has a huge grandfather clock in it.

The small door has a talking doorknob as in the Disney film.

She goes through the doorknob's keyhole and ends up riding the rabbit's fan which has a part that looks like a popsicle stick.

The illustrations of the animals in the caucus race are extremely well done.

When Alice mentions cats the animals throw tomatoes (?) at her instead of just walking away.

They chase her while holding speaks, a pickax, a battle ax and a pitchfork.

She doesn't kick Bill out of the chimney. She sneezes instead and that has the same effect.

The cook doesn't have a face. That entire area is just plain black.

The playing cards have no facial features.

The tarts are served as refreshments after the croquet game.

Alice takes one and is put on trial for that.

The Mad Hatter's face seems to be based on that of Jay Leno.

Alice does not naturally become bigger in the trial; she eats a piece of mushroom she had in her pocket.

She then ends up shrinking (for no reason) and is chased by the cards, etc.
