The Illustrators of Alice in Wonderland

The book is 88 pages long. It includes a section describing some of the various people who have illustrated Carroll's Alice books and then has singe pages with their own illustration and the name of the person who drew that along with some of the text of the book at that point.

Artistic quality is, in my opinion, pretty much objective. The artists that I liked the most in the book include:

K.M. Roberts
Rene Cloke
Henry Furniss Arthur Rackham

And the ones I really don't like include:

Charles Robinson. The Alice on p. 23 of the book looks evil to me the way her eyes look.
Franz Haacken. Probably the worst of all the illustrations.
Ralph Steadman. His cards painting the roses look like thugs from some crime movie of the thirties or so.
Max Ernst. Is this supposed to be artwork or scribbles?
Peter Newell and Franklin Hughes, p. 60 and 61.
Mervyn Peake.
Peter Blake.
