Alice #10

1951, Approved Comics.

The cover is sort of odd. You have Alice getting spanked (introducing a S&M theme), and you have her spanked by what may be a racist-type huge doll. Very strange for a comic book cover based on the story Alice in Wonderland.

Alice Puzzle Page is first.

Alice in the Lost Rag Doll: Alice can't find her rag doll and ends up sliding down a laundry chute, ending up in Wonderland. She runs into the White Queen who has the doll and think's it's her baby. They characters she meets also happen to be wearing her dirty clothes she put down the laundry chute. The doll drinks milk and gets huge and spanks Alice, then chases after the King and Queen. Alice escapes back up the chute to her room. (In the story, by the way, the doll is white).

Alice in Puzzleland.

Rock-Candy Mountain: Alice meets the Sweet Old Man of the Mountain who is not so sweet and has a rather bad temper. He shows her his candy factory. She messes up the factory and the mountain erupts, spewing fudge which the people like so the guy can start selling his candy.

Topsy Turvy: One page story involving the Tweedles.

The Real Alice (text): This is about Alice Liddell and how Alice in Wonderland came to be written.

The Horrible Groark: Another story involving the Tweedles.

Alice in Bugville: A book-worm talks to Alice and she visits Bugville.

Another Alice in Puzzleland page.
