Alice in Wonderland Broadway Show

It opens with Alice being read Alice in Wonderland. The girl playing Alice has a really good voice. Interestingly enough it's Alice's mother that goes on the journey and not Alice. She ends up being met by a bunch of the traditional Alices (and at least one non-traditional one.

The Cheshire Cat character is hilarious. The Caterpillar tells Alice that the Cheshire Cat think's he's invisible but he's actually not but to just go and play along. The Cheshire Cat section is ultra-cool. There's also a great joke about the Tea Party.

The 'new' Mad Hatter is a woman.

The Queen of hearts appears. She has a heart-shaped crown but she's in blue, not red, and there's very few hearts on her outfit. (She also seems to have no guards around her leaving her wide open to assassination.)

The Mad Hatter visits Alice's daughter. This goes way away from the actual story. The group of Alice, the Cheshire Cat and others go through the looking glass to rescue Alice's daughter. I had liked the program up to this point but I don't like this addition of kidnapping. Alice in Wonderland is supposed to be a safe read for young people and what is going on right now in this show is moving away from safe to much more typical darkness.

The Mad Hatter plans to execute people. The White Rabbits watch can serve as a time machine. Alice runs into Lewis Carroll.

The Mad Hatter claims Alice and the others are out to overthrow the Queen of Hearts. The Mad Hatter plans to have the Queen beheaded. We find out exactly who the Hatter is. The Hatter is dealt with but with the loss of the knight at the same time.

The story does have a good ending and message, though.
