The Wonderland Gambit, The March Hare Network

Although this second book in the series is good it, as the first book, doesn't really have anything to do with Alice in Wonderland other than the use of names from that book as parts of chapter headings or names of particular individuals.

The basic concept of the first two books is that existence is dependent on some master computer or something somewhere that is run by some people (?) and that constructs various realities for people to live in, those people not actually being real but being just computer constructs that are programmed to act and think like they exist in a physical reality.

In other words, it sort of everything we see is a virtual reality that we are trapped in and that is run by someone else for reasons unknown.

As a science fiction story it's good but the use of Alice in Wonderland-oriented terms really isn't necessary and doesn't really add to the book.
