Alice in the Country of Clover

Volume 1: Alice is in the Country of Clover and, as usual, any male around seems to want her attention even though she's basically attracted to Boris. There's a brief recap of what has gone before. It's pointed out that the people with regular faces are those who have specific duties to fulfill.

Alice stops at the amusement park. Later after she wakes up she finds a forest has replaced the amusement park (the land tends to move around in Wonderland.) Blood du Pre helps her and also comes on to her. She misses the amusement park a lot.

One thing Alice has difficulty dealing with is figuring out just why she chose to stay in Wonderland. She also has problems thinking she may not be worthy of love.

There's more involvement with the various males and a difficulty of dealing with the others think about the faceless dying.

Volume 2: A lot of this volume deals with Alice and Boris. Boris is definitely in love with Alice and Alice seems to be falling for him. He wants to go faster than she does, though, and that ends up leading to some arguments between the two.

One of the unusual things is her watching a whale swimming through the forest.

Ace and Boris end up fighting and Ace ends up murdering a waitress which apparently is not something that draws the ire of law enforcement in Wonderland. This Wonderland is without doubt a violent place. There are also still some problems with the movement of the land.

Volume 3: We find there are lots of odd rules in Wonderland. Peter White is still attracted to Alice and Alice has basically become Boris' girlfriend. Nightmare wants Alice to stay in Wonderland while Peter becomes really jealous of Boris.

Peter, by the way, usually speaks in rhyme. Alice and Boris have declared their love for each other. There's another side story, this one also related to Alice and Boris' relationship and how Alice is upset at his public displays of affection.

This has gotten to be a real good, very romantic series but still with all of Wonderland's oddness.

Volume 4: Peter White is still angry with how close Boris and Alice are. Blood Du Pree warns Alice that things could turn violent right after the assembly. Alice ends up dreaming of her sister and Peter and Boris fight yet again.

Boris and Alice are sleeping together, although whether or not they have actually had sex is hard to say. Vivaldi wants Alice to move in with her. Alice and Boris are in bed again together. Alice finds out just how serious the warning about violence is.

Volume 5: The story continues with more faceless being killed. Boris is worried about Alice's safety as someone apparently tried to abduct her or maybe even kill her. Alice, meanwhile, is still dreaming about the "real" world she came from.

Jack Diamonds seems to be her dead boyfriend. Boris swears he will protect Alice although he's also afraid to do anything to/with Alice that might really upset her.

A faceless group planned to use Alice as a weakness of someone they are after. Alice plans to leave Hatter mansion and might move in with Boris.

Volume 6: Alice plans to leave Hatter mansion. There's a scene where almost everyone gets together. Peter is worried about Alice. Boris helps Alice reduce her worries about herself. The faceless are still planning to use Alice somehow.

The side story has Alice still at the amusement park. It centers on a ball that is going to be held and all role holders are required to attend it.

Volume 7: This is the final book in this series.

The faceless conspiracy surfaces and Alice is attacked. There's some major fighting that goes on as Boris and some of the others work to protect Alice and put down this rebellion. The relationship between Alice and Boris is the center focus of the novel and the entire series.

The extra story goes back to when Alice was in the Amusement Park area. She's attacked and this time Ace comes to her rescue. The attack was part of a faceless plot.

I enjoyed the entire series and I'm quite happy with the way everything worked out.

Bloody Twins:

The book revolves around the bloody twins, both in their young state and their somewhat grown-up state. They are totally besotted with Alice and are always worried that she is mad at them for some reason. At the same time Alice is in love with Boris and he wants her to move in with him.

There's also stuff on the Queen and how her husband cheats on her constantly. Alice still suffers from her self-doubts. There's also a very short introduction to how she got into Wonderland in the first place. It's another good book in this series.

Twin Lovers:

The manga deals with Alice's relation to the Bloody Twins who always seem to be fighting someone. Alice is even attacked once by a faceless. The twins are always worried that Alice will not like them and will leave them. The question becomes will Alice fall in love with one of them, both of them or neither of them?

I liked the story and was satisfied with how it ended.
