Alice Through the Needle's Eye

I've read a number of books that are based on the original Alice stories and this one is pretty much unique. It's told in the style of Lewis Carroll. There's no violence. There's lots of strange and fascinating animal characters and lots of adventures for Alice.

It's also based on the original Alice who is a little order than she was in the original story. Dinah has grown and had kittens of her own. Alice enters this new Wonderland-type area literally through the eye of a needle, falling into a haystack and meeting her first animal friend, a country mouse.

The entire novel is also based on the alphabet and it does a lot of neat things with that. It's totally enjoyable and very innocent. Really worth getting.
