Alice and the Giant

Alice is reading The Land of the Giants book. A saucer (as in cup and saucer, not UFO) talks to her and tells her that people in The Land in the Shadow of the Giant need her help. Alice ends up shrinking and riding the saucer to that land.

She finds other saucers hitting people in the head and determines that they are coming from the giant's castle. The giant is nasty and demands his hot chocolate every two minutes, driving his cooks nuts. When he gets angry he tosses the people-hitting saucers out her window.

Alice ends up spending a very short time in a dungeon and then is able to reason with the giant to have him stop throwing saucers out the window. She leaves and shortly gets hit in the head by a cup thrown by the giant.

Jack and the Beanstalk and Alice in Wonderland do not make a good mix. The artwork for Alice is not good. The story itself could take place with any other girl and does not require Alice as the main character which is a problem I find with some of the Alice-related stories.

Not that good of a book.
