A New Alice in the Old Wonderland

1895. An Americanized version of Alice. Alice Lee dreams of Wonderland. Alice wants to have an adventure and finds a new door in her bedroom which she goes through.

Some of the material in the book is very similar to the traditional Alice in Wonderland but some isn't. There's involvement of Mother Goose characters, the Cheshire cat has kittens and there's an abandoned tea party, for examples. It's a pleasant read although I still prefer the original story.
