Off With Their Heads

This is a prequel to Alice in Deadland and looks at the history of the main characters. We find out how Protine became the biter queen and the all the events were a plan by the rich and powerful to take over the entire planet by killing all but five hundred million and putting them under their direct control through Zeus, a private military contractor.

General Chen's history of defending cities in China against the biters is given along with Bunny Ear's tragic origin. Then there's a section about Alice's parents shortly before she was born.

The plan by the rich includes nuking cities that Biters have overrun. In addition, nuclear war breaks out between Pakistan and India, and between Iran and Israel. Further, Red China attacks Taiwan.

The book really should be read not before you have read Alice in Deadland.
