Alice in Wonderland and Philosophy

This book is part of the Blackwell Philosophy and Pop Culture Series. I found it easier to read than a similar book on the logic in Alice in Wonderland and it is an interesting book. The different sections are written by different people and range from a feminist view of Alice in Wonderland on through the philosophy of memory.

It's obviously an academic book and, as such, will probably interest only the people who really delve into behind-the-words meanings and thinkings related to the story. The problem I have with books like these is I wonder how much is really in the story versus how much various authors are trying to read into the story. Since Lewis Carroll is not alive then it is impossible to find out the answer to that question. Still, I think it's something that's important to consider when reading academic books on the subject.
