Night of the Kill

A truck takes off with a group of people.

Apparently there's a seven-year-old boy lost in the woods. The kid has been missing for four days.

Originally there were 150 searches but the number has decreased to those on the one truck.

One woman trips and falls.

The kid yells and attracts the attention of the searchers. The father lowers the kid to the ground.

The kid says a friend took care of him but he had never seen him before. The kid says that his friend was at least three times as tall as his father.

Two of the guys say they smell something like an animal.

The next morning (maybe) Davy, the kid, has no longer in his room. Both the father and the mother smell the same thing the they had smelled in the woods.

The kid says his friend came to see him and they played for a while.

They had meat stored in the barn (un-hygenic much?) and Davy says his friend was hungry and ate some of it.

There are huge footprints in the ground. In an intelligent move the doctor and another guy work to save a copy of the footprints.

A group of local guys arrive, all armed.

The creature approached some of the guys and they opened fire.

The kid runs to find his friend.

The father sends Davy home. The group then smells something and follows the smell until they hear something.

They trap the thing in a cave and plan to burn it out.

Newland says that no bone fragments were ever found even though the cave had only one entrance.

He then talks about the abominable snowman and the sasquatch.
