The Villa

The title.

The two young men are using a strobe light. One says that people see colors, images, etc. when it shines into their eyes. Jim and Mary Lowe arrive at the cocktail party. Their marriage is pretty much over.

She's going to try the strobe machine.

She sees an image of a house, hears screaming from the inside an elevator and that person will die. Later she's in her own house and hears the screaming again.

She's found a magazine with the picture of the villa she saw in her strobe-induced image. She also knows her husband is cheating on her with a woman named Stella. He tells her it's time they start thinking about a divorce.

Her husband thinks she's gone back to London but she's actually gone to the villa in Milan.

She looks around the place and sees the elevator. Notice the ornamental part on the second section up. It kind of looks like the head of a stereotyped space alien. She takes the elevator to the second floor. Nothing odd happens.

The husband finds out his wife has gone to the villa. He then goes to the villa. He goes to the second floor and gets on the elevator to go back down. The elevator gets stuck. She's somehow back in the room she shared with her husband and she hears the screaming again.

Newland comes on and says when Mary Lowe gets back to London she will have a complete nervous breakdown. After six months the real estate agent that had shown her the villa takes another person to see it and discovers the body of her husband.
