Gokusen episode 4

Midterm exams are coming up and the head teacher and Yamaguchi are at odds.

The head teacher is once again making fun of Yamaguchi's class.

Four of the teachers are going out at night and the science teacher is carrying his hamster with him.

Three of the guys from Yamaguchi's "gang" are also out for some fun at a club, and one of the "hostesses" is one of the female teachers from the school.

One of Yamaguchi's students has a crush on the hostess teacher and gives her a necklace as a present. He follows her downtown and sees her throw the necklace away.

In response, he takes a picture of her working at the club and manages to get it onto the head teacher's laptop computer.

The student confesses to posting the picture and Yamaguchi hits him.

The teacher is suspended for a week from her job She will be fired unless all of Yamaguchi's class gets a 30 or more on their midterm which is a low score but still apparently quite high compared to what they usually get..

She offers to tutor her students after school in English (the other teacher's subject), but no one shows up. Then a few of them change their minds and show up anyhow.

The second day all the students show up for her tutoring session.

Yamaguchi's students work really hard and the school nurse even brings them a snack.

The test is given and the actual English teacher ends up grading them.

The papers are given back to the students. One scores a perfect paper, one a 60 and most of the rest in the thirties. One student, though, only gets a 29. (The agreement had been that all students had to get a 30 at least.)

The English teacher wants to stay but the head teacher still wants her to quit. The principal checks the paper with the 29 and finds out that one of the questions could actually have two answers, giving the student a score of 31 after all (the question was worth 2 points, not 1).

Yamaguchi drops her cell phone and one of her students finds it and may learn her secret yakuza connection.
