Gokusen

This is a delightful series about a young female teacher who just happens to be in a yakuza family. She's assigned a classroom of delinquents, but she is able to see beyond their outward appearance and find the good that is in each of them.

The series is one of best that I've seen, very emotional, very good. Yuko Nakazawa, formerly of Morning Musume, plays one of the roles, and Nakama Yukie, (Sadako in Ring 0) plays the teacher.
