From the Heart episode 9
The mother calls Shinichi's apartment and tells him to send Mayuko home right then.
He tells her that people are worried about their relationship.
Jun is going to stay with the slimy politician.
Shinichi is trying to help Mayuko figure out what to do. He's also taken a really good precaution (something he should have been doing all along) by having Mayuko's mother sit in on the session.
Mayuko's mother and Shinichi talk.
Jun's father confronts the politician.
Shinichi meets Mayuko at an amusement park, disregarding her mother's request earlier that he have nothing to do with Mayuko except as her doctor.
She explains that if she times everything that a ride does then she won't be scare of it and can ride it and have fun.
She has a wonderful time on the rides but, for some reason, Shinichi has trouble on at least two of them.
The politician, who obviously crawled out of the Bog of Eternal Stench, tries to fake out Mayuko's father, claiming he will stop publication of some article about Shinichi even though he's the one who got the reporter to write it in the first place. The implications the article makes would involve Mayuko and her father, indirectly, I assume.
Jun finds them together. He later talks to her and tells her that someone is "better suited" for Shinichi, and that would be a "normal person." Obviously, he's been taking lessons from both his father and the slimy politician.
The mother then piles it on, working on separating Mayuko and Shinichi.
Mayuko's father explodes in anger and threatens to sue Shinichi.
Jun now confronts Shinichi.
The slimy politician has even gotten to Shinichi's doctor friend. Shinichi wants to continue his study of autism, but admits he should give up being Mayuko's doctor.
Mayuko manages to trick everyone into thinking she has left the house when she hasn't. While they are panicking and Jun takes off to catch her, she sneaks out.
Shinichi tells her they shouldn't see each other any more. He tells her he doesn't like her any more.
Mayuko gets home and her father slaps her.
Her father collapses shortly thereafter so she's left to cry by herself.
