In the second photo if you look to Elizabeth's left you can see a dark outline. That's one of the sound booms. Mistakes like that were left in since it would have been too troublesome to do a retake.

Victoria is telling Elizabeth about Willie still being on the grounds. David makes his first appearance since Barnabas showed up. David is mad at Barnabas since he's been changing the Old House around. David, being the brat that he is, goes to the Old House even though he was told not to.

David says he can feel the changes. David points out that the portrait of Josette is gone from the mantel. (Later you can see the outline of the mike boom on the white cover over the painting of Barnabas. The actress playing Elizabeth makes a short mistake in her lines, referring to the portrait of Barnabas first as a photograph than quickly corrects herself to say painting.)

Burke Devlin talks to Victoria. He's upset that Barnabas hired Willie to work for him. Vickie tells him Elizabeth hasn't been well lately due to Jason being around. Devlin talks to Elizabeth about some property she sold. He tells her he thinks someone forced her to sell the land.

Burke and David talk. Then David goes to the Old House to see if Barnabas will give him the portrait of Josette. David hears the dogs howling. The main doors close on their own and he pounds on them (never thinking to try the wonderous invention called the doorknob.)
