Dark Shadows Episode 236

The episode opens with a repeat of the last part of the last episode where Maggie 'dies' an disappears. The doctor is trying to figure out just what happened. Joe says he'll look for her at the cemetery where she was before. The doctor thinks someone might have taken her.

The doctor tells Sam that the nurse said that Maggie did not seem to have a heartbeat. (This was well before all the machines they have now that can take precise measurements.) The doctor says that severe shock could have caused the heartbeat to be so light as to not be measurable. Burke shows up at the hospital. Joe returns and says he couldn't find Maggie.

Burke talks about the phone call Vickie had gotten and how the caller might have been Willie. Joe and Burke will go question him. They get to the Old House and Barnabas is there. Barnabas lies about what happened on the night of the phone call.

Burke thinks he hears a floorboard creaking. Maggie is there. Barnabas introduces Maggie to 'her room.' He tells her the room is 'just as they left it long, long ago.' He calls Maggie Josette. Barnabas talks about Josette jumping and 'dashing herself on the rocks' and all he wanted was to give her life, meaning he wanted to turn her into a vampire.

Barnabas says he'll turn Maggie into a vampire. He shows her what would have been Josette's wedding dress. He also shows her the music box.
