Dark Shadows episode 244

The episode starts off with Jason still talking to Elizabeth about his plan for them to get married. She tells him she'd die before she married him. He talks about how eighteen years previously he saw Elizabeth's husband Paul lying on the floor, bloody, and she was standing over him. He claims Paul was evil.

Elizabeth says no to the marriage and Jason demands she call the sheriff and tell him what happened in the past. Then he talks about Caroline and what would happen to her if Elizabeth was arrested. He tells Elizabeth she needs to tell Caroline what happened before she calls the sheriff.

He goes to get Caroline. Elizabeth starts to tell Caroline about her father. She says that Paul never really loved her (Elizabeth). She adds that Paul never loved Caroline, either. Caroline runs out of the room upset. Elizabeth adds that Paul was a terrible, cruel man.

Elizabeth begins to cave in to the threat.
