Dark Shadows: America's Love Affair with a Vampire

The author starts with the background of Dark Shadows and then talks about about Victoria and her background. The actors were told to act on the TV stage as if they were on a regular theater stage, which means their physical actions would be exaggerated somewhat.

The author holds that one of the reasons for the success of the series included the wide variety of supernatural creatures, including werewolves, witches, monsters, warlocks and vampires. The series also benefited from featuring parallel universes, special effects, magic and good music.

He says the series had an excellent choice of characters and excellent time travel sequences. All together a decent book.
