Barnabas, Quentin and the Mummy's Curse

A relative, a professor named Anthony Collins, is coming to a work area near Collinwood. He's brought back lots of ancient Egyptian artifacts and plans to go through them. He hires Maggie as a helper but it's not long before she finds out Quentin is one of the workers, acting the part of knowledgeable academic even though he's faking it totally.

Elizabeth, Amy and Caroline are off on a vacation. Barnabas is there and Hare is his servant.

There's a curse on the tomb where Anthony Collins got his artifacts from. The first expedition had bad results that way. The professor and his academic helpers are utterly focused on the finds although it becomes quickly apparent that Anthony Collins is more along the line of a mad scientist. Maggie has problems with Quentin but a much bigger problem, and a much more dangerous problem, with something Anthony Collins has found and what he does with it.

It's a very strange story but it's still pretty good. There actually was a pharaoh Rahotep, by the way.
