The Dark Shadows Concordance 1970 Parallel Time

The concordance is 140 pages in length. Photos take up 14 pages and full-page artwork takes up another 37 pages.

The concordance covers the episodes that dealt with the 1970 parallel time theme. Each episode is covered in considerable detail in the book and it all reads quite well. The basic theme is that Barnabas has ended up in a parallel reality where Hoffman is evil, Angelique has a sister named Alexis, Quentin is married to Maggie and Stokes is evil.

As part of the story there is a subplot which is a version of Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde, this time dealing with a scientist named Cyrus who wants to purge evil from himself (as in Star Trek's episode The Enemy Within) and things go quite wrong just as in the original story.

Angelique plays her normal evil self, wanting Quentin for herself and trying to drag Maggie away. Barnabas (in that reality Barnabas is actually dead and buried) tries to stop her. Julia from the regular reality is watching (there's a room which is a time portal) and ends up in the parallel reality herself.

It's a very complicated story yet it is very, very good. It's always interesting to see how the behavior of certain people is quite different in a parallel reality. Roger, by the way, is even worse then he normally is. Definitely worth trying to find a copy of this book.
