Gold Key Dark Shadows #16

The story is called The Scarab. It starts out with Barnabas in his coffin in a place near Cairo and an evil guy named Potiphar who seems to be a priest of dark magic. He has placed Barnabas under his control. The guy is 4000 year old and is seeking power over everyone.

The guy has his own army gathered from the dead covering forty centuries. He needs a particular piece of treasure and sends Barnabas to get it. Then the story goes into just how Barnabas came under the control of the dark priest.

The evil priest wants to become immortal. The guy sneaks his way into Collinwood to take over Barnabas. Barnabas steals one of the treasures needed. Stokes leads a seance. The purpose is to get through to Barnabas and have him break the hold of the evil priest and stop the guy's efforts towards immortality and total power.
