Dark Shadows Gold Key #23

The Cult of the Dasni. Pamela Gordon asks Barnabas for help finding her fiancee. He was a reporter and was looking into a story about a guy that was murdered and that turned out to be 200 years old. He was a member of the Dasni cult.

Barnabas and Professor Stokes will both go with her to the town of Amenti. The carriage driver refuses to take them into the town and makes them get out of the carriage. There are no plants or animals visible. Pamela doesn't trust the innkeeper they find.

The innkeeper belongs to the cult. Their cult includes drinking some kind of water of life once a month or else they die. Barnabas meets Quentin just outside the town with his coffin. Later Quentin sees a giant dog but it ignores him. Pamela goes to the library to do research on the cult. (Why didn't the cult have such books removed?)

Quentin, Pamela and Stokes are captured. Barnabas claims he wants to join since they are actually vampires. Stokes says a spell and the huge hound is freed and attacks the town and the evil cult members. Stokes then gets the hound to hell.
