The Curse of Collins Isle. This time a werewolf threatens the Collins. Barnabas is no longer a vampire. The werewolf leaves a piece of paper with a pawprint on it at the doorway to he Collins house. A lot of stories in the comics, in the newspaper stripes and other places involve someone from the past who has vowed to destroy the Collins family.

Then there's a section on the past and a guy that didn't want his son around Barnabas and was trying to control what sort of business his son would go into. On his return Jonas has become under the control of someone evil. The father ends up becoming a werewolf, Jonas is killed, and the father blames Barnabas.

Dr. Hoffman thinks Barnabas has returned to being a vampire. Barnabas manages to set a trap for the villain.
