London is Burning

This is an audio play which takes place in 1941 during the Luftwaffe bombing of London. Quentin meets Rose, a woman he knew back in 1906. They end up trapped in a bombed building and they discuss their pasts. Rose seems to be linked somehow to cases of spontaneous combustion. Those who died were all prostitutes.

She is taken by another prostitute thinks Rose is murdering 'her' ladies. She also refers to 'creatures of the night.' The thinks Rose might be a witch. Rose she wants to find out what happened. Each one had come to see Rose, though.

Then it sounds like an episode of Warehouse 13 as Quentin is looking around her room to see if there is some kind of artifact that might be causing the problem. He hears something strange under the floorboards. They find a body but she's quite dead. Rose starts to remember what had happened.

We find out just what is behind everything that was happening. Quentin also reveals part of his very personal past.

I really enjoy the story although it does have a very sad ending.. The only problem I find with it is the same as with many of the other recordings is using actors from Dark Shadows but are not really related to Collinport or the Dark Shadows mythos.
