Liftoff

Both Fargo and Zane had difficulties as they manage to end up in an old space capsule in orbit. . SARAH is also going to marry Andy but is having cold feet. She calls off the marriage.

Zane and Fargo end up in a rocket. It's one using a Mercury space capsule. Once in orbit they have another problem; GD launches interceptor missiles at their capsule. So now they not only have to avoid hitting the station but also avoid being blown up.

Things aren't much better on the ground as an emp is released by the boson cloud exciter, destroying electronics in the city and at GD. (Which doesn't make any sense at all, at least for GD. You would think that such a place would have been hardened against any emp pulse.)

This is also the first appearance of a woman who is a traitor to the United States and who works with Beverly's group. Unlike Beverly, at least she gets punished, somewhat, for her treason later in the series.
