Eureka #4

Eric has now made in into GD He hurts more people then finally achieves his objective; enter the center's reactor area and let the power of the reactor destroy him once and for all.

The series does bring up the subject of experiments that are conducted on people without their knowledge which is something the government has done a variety of times. Trying to breed a super-soldier would be a top priority, but it would require the scientists to think of some way to destroy the soldier (remotely) so that the situation with Eric would not happen.
