All That Glitters

A dangerous bacterium gets into the town. It turns things to gold, but then the gold itself begins to rust. This even includes people. Worse yet, Nathan and Carter have to work together to solve the problem.

Carter and Carrie are supposed to go out for a weekend together but, like almost all his romantic attempts, this one also fails. Allison is scared of what changes the artifact is making on Kevin. Allison and Stark are stonewalling Carter, blocking any move he makes to learn about Kim's accident.

They've captured Beverly. (Keeping her in Eurkea without the sheriff knowing is a prime example of how people in power like Stark and Nathan flaunt the law. Beverly, at the minimum, is guilt of cold-blood murder, theft, and high treason against the United States.)

The guy who played Daniel Jackson on SG-1 appears as an artist in this episode.

The artist tells Carter that what is happening is a alchemical curse and it could end up destroying all of Eureka. The Global Dynamic building starts to be affected by the rust part of the curse. Henry, meanwhile, breaks in to the room holding Beverly.

Then things get way worse. The bacterium has mutated in a flesh-eating form. Henry has let Beverly loose, and Henry, Beverly, Kevin and Allison are in a control room that suddenly descends like an elevator.
