If You Build It

The people around the town seem to be under some kind of hypnotic control at night as they bring all sorts of (stolen) things like blenders, etc, to a place outside of town where they are constructing something. Carter and Allison investigate and Allison prepares to launch missiles at whatever is coming.

Fargo is kidnapped by his car (only Fargo could have this happens) but manages to get to the site in time to tell Allison not to launch the missiles. . If the device everyone built doesn't work, Eureka will be nothing but a crater.

I find Tess to be very obnoxious. Here something is approaching, it has taken control of people, and she is against Allison taking precautions to shoot the object down. By taking over the people the object logically appears to be hostile and thus shooting it down would be the logical thing to do. Obviously, also, since the device on the ground keeps changing then tearing it down, actually, blowing up parts of it, would be acceptable since it no longer seems to be the trigger for a bomb (which is something Zane had thought it was).

This is also one of two totally wasted episodes. In the other episode the duplicate Kim is destroyed to get the information in her, once again bringing emotional pain to Henry. Yet the ship and the information from it are never mentioned again, never used again in the series. This was supposed to be a ship with massive amounts of very advanced information that ended up being ignored in the rest of the stories.
