Ai Yori Aoshi

Kaoru Hanabisyi is a college student who meets a very pretty girl at a train station.

He finds out that she has come there to meet someone she knew when she was younger. He tries to help her find the person she is looking for but it seems that the person is gone. However, she soon finds out that Kaoru is the person she was looking for after all and she tells him she is going to marry him.

It's obvious that she's totally devoted to him. The situation is very complicated, though, since Karou has been disowned by one family, has no relations with another is therefore considered not good enough to marry Aoi-chan.

It seems Karou had been adopted by the Hanabishi group but left when the patriarch tried to force him to forget his own mother who had given him to the family since she couldn't really care for him properly herself. He, in turn, later left the family.

The rest of the volume goes on to show the devotion Aoi-chan has for Karou, the problems with the families, and just how much Karou is becoming devoted to Aoi-chan.

As the story goes on there are the usual complications and misunderstandings. It's really a very nice, very romantic, fun series.
