Burn Up

Burn Up 1: Skin Dive: A group of rather odd terrorists take over a hi-rise hotel and make some, shall we say unusual demands, such as the manager of one of the Japanese baseball teams apologizing to the country for the poor performance of the team. They also want a singing idol to bungee-jump, nude, from a helicopter. Not quite your every-day type of terrorist demands.

To thwart the terrorists, and the more sinister figures behind them, the Special Weapons and Tactics Team Warrior get the call to get the hostages out alive. Of course, one of them is going to have to impersonate the Japanese singing star and bungee jump nude from a helicopter! There's also problems with the departmental budget, etc.

Burn Up 2: Search for the Virtual Idol: It seems that computer experts have developed a virtual idol, a beautiful female singer who decides that she want to go to the "real" world- and does. Add to this a killer android, a crazed scientist, and a drug cartel and you have the makings of another rather unusual story.

The series is quite good. Basically a parody of much-more serious series such as Bubblegum Crisis. There's a lot of humor in the shows, a lot of action, even full-scale mech, so it's a series you will probably find worth watching.
