Ghost Hunt Volumes 7 and 8

Volume 7

It turns out Mai had been having a dream vision. Later a spirit possesses her for a short time, and then writing appears on the walls. It seems that someone was murdered in the mansion in the past. The group also realize that there may be a sealed room in the center of the house.

Lin performs a spirit summoning, and it becomes possible that Dracula is involved. Fortunately the story then tells the correct history of Vlad Tepes, the man who inspired the legend of Dracula. The group then breaks down one of the walls and finds a center room and some corpses. It's possible that some guy in the past had murdered people and used their blood, thinking it would keep him from dying, like Elizabeth Bathory.

The group decides to turn the matter over to the police but before they can leave Masako tells Mai that she hates her. Masako then disappears. Mai has another dream vision and helps the others find yet another concealed area of the house. She finds Masako but then something starts to rise from the bathtub filled with blood.

The evil spirit is defeated. They find the bones of his former victims and a decision is made that the best way to deal with everything is to burn the house and its surroundings and destroy them completely.

It's a very well-done story.

Volume 8

A young girl is brought to the office. Some kind of mark has been placed on her, and it's evil. A woman explains about a cursed how, how people have died there, and how some mediums that came in to investigate also died there. Birds and dogs have also died there.

The behavior of some of the children from the house has been changing. One of them even becomes violent. Ayako tries to do an exorcism on the one that became violent and some kind of animal spirit can be seen rising from his body. Naru ends up possessed by the entity.

Mai has another one of her frightening visions/dreams. She spots a cave with a shrine inside and spirits making their way in from outside. Later, when she is awake, she and the others investigate and find things are just as she dreamed.

One of the young kids seems to be possessed.
