Kitchen Princess, Volumes 3 and 4

Volume 3

Akane returns to school and stops making fun of Najika. Later Akane asks Daichi if he likes Najika. Sora explains why he and Daichi don't get along very well. One of Akane's followers decides to make trouble for Najika. The diner where Najika has been working is closed down as a result.

Akane gives Najika some encouragement. The diner is saved, but Najika has to return home. Her grandmother is ill. Some of Najika's past is covered. She starts thinking that Daichi is her flan prince.

There's a question about whether or not Najika will return to the academy or stay and help her grandmother. Akane comes on really strong to Daichi.

There's more recipes, notes, and a preview of the next book.

Volume 4

Daichi has planned to give Najika a watch, but Akane gets a hold of it and claims Najika gave it to her when she didn't do any such thing, so he gets mad at Najika. Sora then gives her a watch.

Sora tells Najika that he was the one that gave her the flan. Akane finally admits she stole the watch meant for Najika. Daichi finally makes up with Najika.

Sora wins a piano competition. Najika and Akane end up nearly getting into a full-fledged fight. They finally end up working things out, especially since Najika is interested in Sora and not Daichi.

Najika is going to enter a cooking competition. She plans to tell Sora just how she feels about him after the competition is over. She also plans to make a low-calorie desert for Akane. Daichi ends up kissing Najika.

A girl named Komugi Ohara wants to be Najika's apprentice. When Najika and the others go to give the cake the girl made to the guy she made it for, though, he refuses to eat it. There turns out to be a big reason why and the story is very romantic and very sad, both.
