This is one of my favorite songs from all time. I loved the Playstation game (and played it several times, actually), and I really love the song. Only some of the anime in this video is from Maria-sama ga Miteru. The video starts out with an instrumental version of 1000 words, and then goes into the orchestral, English-language (and highly overdone) version of the song.

All I Really Wanted
This is from the series Maria Sama ga Miteru. It's about Sachiko and her relationship with Yumi. Sachiko is an interesting character. She's never really experienced much of the world- due to her wealth, most things have been done for her (see the opening shot where she doesn't even think to close a car door). From outward appearances, she has it all: the mansion, the money, the handsome fiancee, a powerful position at school. But is that what she really wants, or is that just her walking within the gates of tradition? If she breaks out, what happens then? With Yumi's delightful inablilty to hide anything, the whole school will find out, and Sachiko's shame would be on two fronts. Is love worth it? My own comments here. Most of the time when I listen to a music video, I wonder why the person who did it chose that particular song since, the vast majority of times, the song seems to have nothing to do with the topic at all. This case is an exception; the song fits the storyline and what is in the video perfectly. It's a really good song and the video is perfectly matched to it. One of the best music videos of any nature that I've seen.
