Maison Ikkoku albums

Maison Ikkoku OVA Songs Collection

The first time I listened to this CD I didn't like it. The second time I listened to it I began to like it a little. Each time after that I liked it more and more, so this is definitely a CD that "grows on you." Worth getting.

SM 294

The music in this CD is good. I find that the more I listen to it the more I actually like the CD. Not really wild music like on some other CDs, just sort of nice music.

This is another good music CD. This is vocal collection and represents some very good singing and a good selection of songs from the series. Well worth adding to your collection.

Granted, the title of this CD might put some people off. Music Sour? Bad music? Music that leaves a sour taste in your mouth?

Nope, none of those. This is a really good CD with incidental music and reworking of some musical themes from the series that are very well done. This is one CD I have found myself listening to over and over. There are 61 tracks, so some selections are very short, maybe ten seconds or so, but others are regular length. This is a really, really good Maison Ikkoku album!

Music Shake

This is another CD in the style of the previous one. Some takeoffs on regular themes, lots and lots of tracks and some enjoyable background music to listen to. Since their style is very similar, though, you might want to get one or the other of these CDs unless you are an actual collector.

Sound Theater

First, as to the material in the CD itself, there is a lot of talking (which is nice if you want to remember how the people's voices sound) and there is some music. Neither of those, however, is what really fascinated me.

This is the only CD I have found in the anime materials that has an entire booklet of the events of the episode, two pages of which I have included below. This is a really, really nice addition to the CD and it shows that such things can be done. I'd like to see this type of addition to lots of other anime CDs.
