No Need for Tenchi, Volumes 5 and 6

Volume 5

One of the evil assistants dies. The monk is attracted to Asahi but she's twelve years young then him so he's not pursuing the matter. When they land on the planet Asahi is captured by the evil lord. It turns out one of the evil assistants is really the master.

Minagi remembers part of her past and Washi is trying to figure out what the supposed assistants are really up to. The former evil leader turns out to have been under mind control. The also realize they are having to figure out something about a stolen Jurai tree. Apparently the evil guys want to use the trees to build up their own forces.

The evil assistants are working with something they stole. It results in a woman appearing named Master Yume. She pictures herself as the greatest scientific genius in the universe and plans to go to war against the Jurai royal family.

Mingai goes to get back her master's sword while the others decide to confront the evil beings on their own planet. She fights one of the evil assistants and gets beaten up badly. Yume steals the tree and launches it on its flight of war.

The monk asks Tenchi for help in training.

Volume 6

Yume's ship attacks a galaxy police ship and almost totally destroys it. Mihoshi and Washu check the shp and find out about the attack and that Yume's ship has light hawk wings.

When the two sides get together Washu and Yume have a fist-fight for a short time. Then there's a flashback to when Washu and Yume knew each other and made a bet. The best was to take over Jurai.

The monk and one of the evil assistants fight. He later leaves the fight up to Tenchi. The Jurai battle fleet shows up but is quickly beaten. The evil apprentice and Tenchi fight, but other things happen and it ends up the entire galaxy is in danger of being destroyed.

Tsunami and the efforts of the others manage to avoid the danger.
