Kimagure Orange Road Laser Discs

First story: "I was a Cat; I was a Fish". Kyosuke wants to know what it would be like to be a fish or a cat. His grandfather is visiting and happens to have a rope that allows 2 beings to exchange souls. It's not very long before Kyosuke is involved in another round of mistakes and misunderstandings. He is changed into a fish, then into his can Jingoro. At least he gets an inside look on what Hikaru and Madoka think of him.

Second story: "Hurricane! Akane the Shape-changing Girl". Kyosuke wakes up one morning with an addition to his bed; a naked Hikaru. Needless to say, this upsets him quite a bit; it turns out it is his cousin who has the ability to cause people to see illusions (not to really change her shape). She ends up getting involved in the Madoka-Kyosuke-Hikaru triangle, trying to do good but really causing a massive number of problems.

Third Story: "Hawaiian Suspense". In this one you get a good idea of how the Japanese regard the violence of our society when Hikaru is kidnapped by gun-toting thugs. A rather odd episode at best.

This is the movie "I Want to Return to that Day". I won't reveal any of the details. I will say that I was massively disappointed in the story and the "resolution" of one of the major Orange Road problems. Smacks too much of "let's do the traditional, accepted thing and not upset anyone" kind of politically-correct "solution".
