Dr. Slump Manga, volumes 9 and 10

Volume 9

Midori visits Senbei who is mad about Arale and Gatchan eating a treat he wanted. He is passing the restroom and doesn't know Midori is inside when he is talking to himself and asks her to marry him. She agrees.

From there the story moves on to their honeymoon. Some strange beings kidnap Midori, and Arale and Gatchan want to come on the honeymoon also. Midori ends up tied to posts and a King Kong-type of thing is approaching while Senbei, Arale and Gatchan fight an air force of the strange beings and defeat them.

It turns out the ape is connected with some kid and they plan to cook Midori. They rescue Midori, then accidentally drop her. Arale runs out of energy, but Gatchan is able to beat the kid. The rest of the honeymoon doesn't quite live up to Senbei's expectations, or perverted desires, either.

The next story is about fireworks and the efforts of two aliens to return to their home planet by combining fireworks. Then there's a story about the year 2013. Some of the group plays a game with a large asteroid die and some combat robots.

The next story has Arale losing her head. Literally.

After that, Arale is due to start high school. That is, until Gatchan eats it.

There's a new teacher for the high school (which seems to include the 8th grade.) He has a huge head. Not the best job choice for the guy.

Volume 10

Mr. Tsun is just as perverted as Senbei. They both wear goggles that allow a person to see through things and they go out to look at girls. One falls, spreading her legs as she does. It's all the encouragement these two need.

The biker 'gang' gets a tractor, plows up much of the town, and Arale and Gatchan plant seeds, resulting in an abundant crop of vegetables.

Senbei's grandfather is coming to visit. Senbei tells a lie about Arale's origin. His grandfather apparently lives in a very, very backwards area.

Someone from the galactic police is chasing a crook that is forced to crash near the village. He asks for help against a group of space crooks. The particular story is only so-so.

Then there's a story about time travel and an alternate explanation for the origin of the moon.

Next is a strange and not very funny story about ballet with many of the main characters as females but looking like they normally do.

In the next story Gatchan eats a lot, forms a cocoon, and some days later it opens, releaseing two gatchans. Then Senbei has a nightmare about two huge gatchans chasing him with poop on sticks. The gatchan's in this story can eat dirt.
