Swan

Masumi is a 16-year-old girl who wants to be a ballerina. She's attending a small ballet school in Japan when she ends up getting into a famous ballet school. She's basically the rawest of the students, though, and in the initial test to get in she didn't make the final cut.

She is admitted to the school anyway, which causes some bad feelings on the part of other students. She becomes more and more serious about her training and eventually has a chance to try to get into the famous Russian school of ballet.

The manga is filled with various facts about ballet including the various ballets themselves, terms describing particular positions the body is in during ballet and various other facts.

It's quite an interesting manga although I don't care much for some of the artwork. The storyline is good.
