Wedding Peach

It's a battle of love vs. evil. The story opens with Momoko trying on her mother's wedding dress. She and her friends from the junior high newspaper go to the story to cover a soccer game. Momoko meets a strange boy who tries to take a ring from her.

Momoko transforms into Wedding Peach, complete with her full wedding gown and manages to vanquish the evil boy. There is an evil woman (think Queen Beryl) behind all of this, searching for the "four somethings" that she wants to infuse with evil. Pluie is the name of the boy helping her.

Later Momoko gets hit in the face with a soccer ball and Yosuke Fuma, one of the soccer team members, takes her to the nurses which then sets up the typical "she's falling for him but they argue all the time" types of storylines.

Before two long her friends end up being transformed into Angel Daisy and Angel Lily to help her. They can all also transform their clothing and become "fighter angels."

The main evil person is Rain Devilla, Queen of the Demon Folk, and her goal is to banish love from the world.

At a reception hall the evil beings are trying to break up all the couples and Sir Limone (read Tuxedo Mask) arrives to protect Wedding Peach and battle Pluie. Yosuke ends up saving Momoko, while the rest of the first manga deal with similar battles against the evil beings.

It's going to be hard for me to review this series since I keep thinking about its similarities to Sailor Moon. The first book deals largely with the relationship between Momoko and Yosuke which is the typical love/hate relationship found in anime. At the moment this looks like it might end up being a fairly repetitive series, somewhat like the fight-of-the-section approach where the only difference is the name of the attacker and an occasional new attack.
