Hey X3 Downtown and MM Summer Games 7-27-2002

First off, the girls are in some very beautiful kimonos.

The girls then draw from a box and the color of the ball (or what's written on it) determines what team they will end up joining.

The guys handle the girls a little roughly, in my opinion.

Yossie is on the same team Yaguchi and Abe are on. I also noticed the guy didn't mess with Yossie when she ended up on his team. Probably afraid she might deck him if he did.

Kaori is the last to pick.

Kago Ai and Tsuji Nozomi are on the same team.

The other team, which includes what are probably two of the smartest people in the group.

The first task is going to be catching goldfish as in Japanese festivals.

The trick is to catch the goldfish using the paper net. The paper, though, is very thin and very, very easily torn, so it takes a delicate touch to catch the goldfish, lift it and put it into the bowl without tearing the paper.

There's some very good goldfish catchers in the groups.

The team Kaori's on wins.

The next contest has to do with snow-cones. The girls compete against each other, putting the toppings on their snow-cones and then seeing which team can eat theirs first.

Maki Goto wins the first competition and that is amazing. I've never seen Kago Ai beaten by anyone at something that has to do with eating.

Mari Yaguchi is next and starts while Aibon is still trying to finish hers.

Yaguchi finishes hers and Natsumi Abe is next to try. Nozomi is still basically getting started on eating hers.

The show host pours so much topping onto his ice that it's more liquid than snow-cone. He then eats another one but not before an accident with one of the containers spills yellow topping all over the table and him. (I think he's fooling around some to give the other team's girls a chance to catch up a little.)

Yossie's turn. She makes short work on the snow-cone.

More girls finish. The team on the right starts to gain ground, but then the team on the left has a spurt of eating energy and resumes its comfortable lead.

Then total chaos ensues when the two hosts compete against each other and end up using the topping containers to squirt each other. The girls all back off really quick.

The team on the left wins.

The final round. The two hosts have removed their clothes.

Each girl sits on a bench. There's a container between the two and neither can see what is in the container. They have no shoes on and need to identify with their feet what is in the container. In the first round, it's false teeth.

Ishikawa guesses correctly.

The second competition.

A rabbit runs by Natsumi's Abe's foot and apparently touches it, freaking her out totally. The right-hand team guesses correctly.

The third object to be guessed is some type of brush. Maki Goto guesses correctly, giving the left-side team their first score of the round.

The final portion of the round.

The octopuses are alive. The host guesses correctly, eventually.

Next Morning Musume performs Do It Now.

Some type of music identification contest.

I think what happens is that four songs are done per round. All four play at the same time, and as a song is guessed, then it's removed from the playing, making it easier to guess the remaining songs.
