Interviews

This is a series of interviews with various members of Morning Musume by themselves. They are asked a series of questions from the fairly simple type of "what is your favorite food" to the more complex "how do you see Japan in the future" and " do you believe in monsters and spirits?" The answers are often extremely interesting.

After they answer the questions they are then asked to identify bjects that are rare, obscure or just not really easy to identify.

Ogawa Makoto

Her favorite food is squash. She doesn't believe in monsters or spirits, but she believes in ghosts.

Nozomi Tsuji

Her favorite food is something she can get at Disneyland (churros?)

In twenty years she figures she will have learned how to cook. Nozomi comes across as something less than an intellectual giant in the interview, unfortunately.

Nigaki Risa

She says that twenty years from now she'd still like to be in Morning Musume. She reveals that she once saw the ghost of a little girl coming in the room.

A number of the girls, including Nigaki, are concerned about the lack of greenery in Japan.

Konno Asami

She likes sushi and sweet red rice.

Kago Ai

She has her own incredibly fascinating ghost story to tell.

Ishikawa Rika

Iida Kaori

Like almost all the other girls, Iida Kaori sees herself as married with kids twenty years from now. She also believes in monsters and spirits, saying she had seen one the previous day (but didn't say whether it was a monster or a spirit.)

Goto Maki

Abe Natsumi

She has some incredibly interesting things to say about monsters and spirits and talking to them.

Takahashi Ai:

She's asked about her favorite food (katsudon=a bowl of rice with sliced pork cutlet on top); what's your favorite part of Japan (Fukui); what do you think you will be doing in 20 years (being a mother), and various other questions.

After the questions, each girl is given some objects to identify, including nostalgic, rare and unknown items.

Yaguchi Mari:

Her favorite Japanese food is red rice.

As to what she will be doing in twenty years, she thinks she won't be part of Morning Musume anymore, but she still wants to continue singing, then get married and have kids. She also believes in monsters but she's not sure about spirits.

Yasuda Kei:

She says her favorite food is either soba or natto.

She played the taiko drums at a festival.

Yoshizawa Hitomi:

She thinks that in twenty years she might be a mother.
