Morning Musume Cultural Festival 9-14-2006

AT A BISTRO

Part of a TV appearance of some kind. Kago and Nozomi end up kissing a chef on his cheeks.

CIAO (not musical)

This must be a segment from some kind of program. I don't really have any idea what they are doing.

HAWAII PV

A song and a video like this is either the product of extreme fatigue, or someone was smoking some of the funny stuff. This is weird. Truly weird. Imagine bits and pieces of Morning Musume songs sung with a Hawaiian lilt. The overall effect is not "did I like that song and video" but "you have got to be kidding." I think it was actually somewhat cute and likeable, but don't hold me to that.

HONDA COMMERCIAL

Morning Musume in Bikinis

The bikini scenes are shot and one of their earlier pieces of music plays in the background.

NIGHTMARE CONCERT EVERYTHING IS FALLING

A concert held either during or just after a rain results in one person after another losing their footing or falling on the stage. Maki Goto falls twice, Hitomi falls once and Takahashi Ai falls once among others.

POCKY COMMERCIAL

Horror TV show (FUN)

I have another version of this under Morning Musume, Various TV Appearances. That refers to a page of the same show, but without translation.

This is a translated version of the show where they get scared by Sadako coming out of the TV. The hostess and Natsumi Abe both have the idea of keeping their ears shut, although the hostess also closes her eyes. Mari Yaguchi is terrified. She's really, really upset. Sometimes what they do to the girls borders on being cruel.

After so more talking (with the lights down) there's a sudden noise and the hostess runs off screaming along with most of the other girls. But not Yossie.

GHOST HOUSE AT A HAUNTED HOUSE AND BASEBALL PRACTICE

There's a very brief overview of another part of the program before moving on to the baseball practice portion which is held at the Tokyo Dome.

The three members of Mini Moni are taken to the broadcasting center for the dome.

The three meet the game announcer and get to play around with the announcing equipment a little.

Mari Yaguchi broadcasting.

Teams are chosen.

The girls at some house, obviously in a meeting of some kind.

Iida Kaori, but I don't really know what is going on, other than that they start playing the theme to the X-Files show in the background.

A diagram of the house they are in. I think they are doing some kind of drama or show or something like that since they are obviously acting and not just being their normal selves.

This is definitely something that is being done as a program. The segments are divided into S-and then a number and they use a clapboard (I think that's what its called), and just before this portion started I heard someone say “starto”.

'

They also show where cameras are placed, like the way they do in Big Brother.

This is getting more confusing. Abe Natsumi and two guys are watching what is going on via television screens.

The girls in the place have to put on blinders and other stuff. While they have them on some of the workers go around messing the place up, dumping things on the floor, etc.

Suddenly the observers turn off the lights in the house.

The girls receive some kind of instructions. It does look like someone provided enough life for Kago Ai to get down from the top-level bunk.

Kaori carries two pillows and uses one to get things on the floor out of the way. Kago Ai has grabbed a Pooh-bear stuffed animal and is carrying that.

Kago Ai goes down some stairs and again it looks like at least some minimal lighting is provided for her.

I think the girls are expected to find certain items. There's an automated hand in Kaori's room that turns on while Ishikawa Rika is there.

Also, they apparently have a time limit to find the objects.

Kaori gets outside, I think.

The girls finish and escape the house.

Notice the big Pooh bear Kago is holding.

We then return to Tokyo Dome. (The two things were not going on at the same time, by the way; the house was earlier.)

Then, for fun, the people running things turned off all the lights at the ballpark.

Kaori is pitching, and she throws her baseball at 62km/hr.

Ishikawa throws her baseball. Which could be a good thing, if the direction she had chosen to throw it was home plate. However, she threw the ball at 45 degrees to the left of the plate (as she is looking at it.)

To be sure none of the directions are left lonely, Maki Goto throws her's about 45 degrees to the right of the plate.

Finally, a pitcher throws hers not only at the plate, but throws the fastest.

Next, the set up an automatic pitching machine.

Yossie at bat against the machine. A couple other girls take turns but don't manage to hit the ball.

All of a sudden we're in Osaka.

The group meets with this guy (and I have no idea who he is or what he does).

Then it's back to the ballpark. What they have, then, though, is some videos of odd things.
