Mini Moni Sengen Sokontoko Yoropiku

These are very short, less than one minute long. They feature a nastier version of Mini Moni then I'm used to. The segments often make very little sense and I sort of wonder why this series was ever made in the first place.

Mika gets a call and is told that the group is to change their clothes.

The original outfits.

The new outfit. (Which, in my opinion, were a mistake. This changed Mini Moni totally. Before it was a group that basically performed songs that young children would like. Now they become a more mature group and have lost the innocence the original group had.)

Episode 1: School Lunches

Either the translation is faulty or there are some terms being used that are tasteless and utterly out of character for what, at least originally, Mini Moni was. The term “stormtrooper”, for younger people, will remind one of Star Wars, but for slightly older people the term will remind them of the Nazi stormtroopers in World War II.

It seems they want some kind of changes in the school lunch menu.

Episode 2: School Lunches, part 2

Another incredibly poor choice of terms. Suicide Squad? That is about as far away from the concept of Mini Moni as one can get. An incredibly poor choice of terms, calling into mind either a modern-day terrorist organization or, again from World War II, the Japanese kamakaze pilots.

Episode 3: Folk Dances

Folk dances?

Episode 4: School Bags

Again, an episode opens with something that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic.

Episode 5: Cleaning

Episode 6: Open Class Days

Open Class Days must be like open house days in the U.S. As usual, the episode starts with totally unrelated material related to what the person lieks to eat.
